Airport ramblings!

I can’t believe I took a pictures of flowers in an airport bathrooom. I had to pretend to play with my phone in the middle of the bathroom (w antm bkaramah), and snap the picture quickly just to write this post. (I call that blog dedication, lool). When I first saw them I smiled. Yes they are carnations, and there is nothing spectacular about arrangement either, but it made me smile. It made my SEVEN hour delay more bearable.
Yes a it’s a bathroom, but for me, bathrooms are always a good indicator of the type of management and level of hygiene a place has.
WHY can’t we have such nice things in our airports bathrooms? Seriously….

For those interested, this was at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Baltimore, MD USA.

The linked article talks about a wife’s ordeal after her husband of 20+ years decided one day, that he doesn’t love her anymore. It’s amazing how she controlled her emotions and proceeded with wit and level headedness for the sake of the “family”.  I was also amazed with her confidence and how she knew that the problem wasn’t caused by her, but it was her husband that was going through some issues.  I personally learned a couple of lessons, and hope you would too. Its official, the new vacation spot for everybody and their mother is TURKEY!!!. And you it is only because of the recent explosion of Turkish drama series such as noor o mohanned, merna o khalil.. oh lets not forget lamees.

I have heard great things about Turkey in general, and especially their mouthwateringl cuisine.

Among the regions of Turkey that I would like to visit, I would love to see Antalya. I’ll leave you with the pictures

I had to travel to the states suddenly and after pulling a couple of strings, I got an international drivers’ license.
I’m finally driving… I didn’t know how much I missed it until I got behind the wheel. It feels great.
It also feels great to be back. Back in my first home.. (Saudi is my second home) I missed the weather, and the people. It was nice meeting up with friends from high school and college. It made me feel extremely nostalgic.
I still can’t believe I am here….
